How do we treat patients?
Ancient Chinese believed that most diseases occur when the equilibrium between the organ network and the flow of human body energy (Qi) is upset causing many interrelated problems in the body. To restore the balance the body must be treated as a whole. TCM treatments are based entirely on natural remedies and methods. After an initial consultation in which doctor has ascertained medical history and condition of patient, a course of treatment can be followed that may consist of (but not always include) a combination of Acupuncture, Chinese Remedial Massage, Herbal Medicine, Cupping, Reflexology, Acupressure, Moxibustion, Electro-Crystal Therapy, etc.
Acupuncture
Very fine needles are inserted into various points along the meridians to regulate the flow of vital energy and harmonize the function of the internal organs. Modern studies have proven that acupuncture is highly effective in treating a wide range of conditions. At our clinic only disposable needles are used.
Chinese Remedial Massage (Tuina)
Using fingers and palms pressure is applied with special techniques on the acupressure points of the body to actively stimulate body energy and aid recovery. It is widely used for stress, anxiety, pain and general well being. It is incredibly relaxing.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Is a completely natural therapy. Leaves, fruits, seeds and many hundreds of plants are used, each one with its own special functions. Chinese herbal remedy is tailored mixture of many different herbs chosen to suit you best. The dosage and composition are also changed as your condition changes.
Cupping
A therapy where a cup is attached to the surface of the skin to increase circulation and diminish pains.
Reflexology
Soak your cares away in a formulated herbal foot bath and then enjoy a foot massage, using acupressure points to ease stiff muscles, soothe aches, soften skin, improve circulation and restore the body to a state of equilibrium.
Auricular Acupressure
A method of stimulating the points on the ears by using small fine needles or applying herbal pellets.
Moxibustion
The application of mild heat to Acupuncture points of the body with glowing "moxa-wool" ( a kind of Chinese herb) to stimulate the flow of Qi, entirely painless.
Electro-Crystal Therapy
Electro-Crystal Therapy is gentle and non-invasive treatment. It aims to balance the human energy field to promote health and well-being. Many people have reported benefit and a feeling of increased well-being after rebalancing by Electro-Crystal Therapy.
